School 2.0-NETS Awareness

I really enjoyed watching the video “A Vision of Students Today”. I think that this video reflects what we experience in school in a daily basis. I agree with most of the things that the students talked about.  It seems that we, as college students, spend more time socializing and being involved in recreational activities than spending time in homework or readings.  I feel that in a way it is our fault but sometimes professors make us buy expensive school materials that we end up using only one time. In my opinion, technology is a great learning tool that if we learn how to use it properly, it can make a great difference in our learning experience.  As stated in NETS section 3 (Model Digital Age Work and Learning), educators should model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate and use information resources to support research and learning. I think that if educators incorporate an interactive use of technology in school work, instead of using Facebook during class, we would be more engaged in school material and it will be a better and more gratifying learning experience.
